Last week, Akron DSA elected a new Steering Committee for 2023. Congratulations to our new officers!

We also have new harassment grievance officers who operate separately from Steering. In the unfortunate case that you ever need to report harassment by an Akron DSA member, you can reach out to them here.

Also, we’d like to extend a huge thank you to those who attended our first Reimagining Public Safety meeting last week and made it a productive discussion. Unfortunately, we had technical difficulties and were not able to record the event. However, our presentation materials and additional background materials are available on our Link Tree under “Public Safety Campaign Resources.”

We hope you’ll join us for our second meeting in the Public Safety Campaign series, where we’ll focus on cannabis justice. The meeting will be held at the North Hill Branch library on February 23 at 6 p.m. You can RSVP here, and be sure to check out the resources on our Link Tree ahead of time to prepare for discussion.
