Let’s show Mitch McConnell that the world is watching what he’s doing as the Senate impeachment trial unfolds.

Friend, the House of Representatives sent articles of impeachment over to Mitch McConnell this week—meaning it’s now up to him to make sure the Senate trial is conducted fairly and impartially. And that’s not just us saying that—it’s what he owes to the American people and to the Constitution he took an oath to uphold.

So far, Mitch has shown no indication that he intends to hold a fair trial—in fact, all signs point to the opposite.

  • He’s gone on the record saying he’s “not an impartial juror,” as outlined in the Constitution by the founders, and will be closely coordinating with the White House during every moment of the trial.
  • He's ignored demands to decide whether witnesses should be called, a standard feature of every single impeachment trial in history. (On this, even some Republicans have spoken out on the need to hear from witnesses.)

Now, Mitch Watch begins—it’s up to all of us to make clear what we expect from our leaders, and what we won’t tolerate.

Chip in now to show Mitch we’re watching—and that if he won’t fulfill his responsibilities, we’re ready to elect leaders who are.

Thanks,
Team McGrath
