Join a special online event, held in partnership with the London School of Economics, on Wednesday 8 March between 6.00 and 7.30pm to discuss whether there is a viable alternative to the current economic orthodoxy.

John,

Is there an alternative to ‘growth, growth, growth’ when much of the world is hooked on consumption?

The issue of economic growth was one of the main concerns of the party’s founders in 1973 and is even more relevant five decades on when the dangers of climate breakdown and environmental degradation - as well as growing inequality - are clear.

Join a special online event, held in partnership with the London School of Economics, on Wednesday 8 March between 6.00 and 7.30pm to discuss whether there is a viable alternative to the current economic orthodoxy.

Panellists include Molly Scott Cato, Green economist and activist, Paul Ekins former party member and academic expert in the field of sustainable economics and Caroline Lucas MP.

This panel discussion is one of a number of events GPEW is organising with the LSE Library, now home to the Green Party archive, to mark our 50th anniversary.
