Uplifting lower-wage workers ([link removed]) has always been our priority, so that no one gets left behind as we progress as a society. The recent launch of the Progressive Wage Mark ([link removed]) by the Tripartite Partnerships reaffirms the PAP government’s commitment to making a difference to the lives of our workers.
Senior Minister of State for Manpower Zaqy Mohamad ([link removed]) said, " We hope that this will uplift and also give consumers and buyers confidence in the standards that are being put in place and that our companies are paying progressive wages. This is part of the social compact that we are hoping to put in place over the years, about us having a role in the development and the welfare of our lower-wage workers among us.”

At a Chinese New Year dinner on Jan 28, Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong ([link removed]) said that the PAP government recognises the concerns of Singaporeans on cost of living and is providing tangible help, especially to the lower-income and vulnerable groups. Read more ([link removed]) .

Singapore is an ageing population and by 2030, we are looking at one in four people being 65 years old and above. Together with the PAP government, we want to ensure that our seniors are able to continue leading fulfilling lives even as they age and we must take action today ([link removed]) .
