Hi John,
Today is precious for Born Free – it would have been George Adamson’s birthday. Known as the ‘Father of Lions’, George’s passion to return captive lions to the wild continues to inspire our charity. His impact on the world, and the work we do on your behalf, is immeasurable, and we dedicate this newsletter to his memory.
Our cherished Co-Founder Dame Virginia McKenna remembers him:
“Hardly a day passes that I don't think of George Adamson. I will certainly be doing so on his birthday today. It is rare that you meet someone who has a lasting influence on your life. But George - his kindness, humility, wisdom and friendship - is just such a person. So, today, my loving thoughts are with him."

PROTECT LIVESTOCK, SAVE LIONS |
From painting eyes on cattle to flashing lights, with your support our team in Kenya is trialling innovative ideas to deter lions and help people and wildlife coexist without conflict. |

OUTSTANDING CONSERVATIONISTS |
Whether creating a haven for rescued bonobos, or building bridges for spider monkeys, the winners of our prestigious McKenna-Travers Awards are a force for good, thanks to you. |

YOU WON'T BELIEVE IT'S LEGAL |
With you by our side, we’re fighting the rising tide of the UK’s cruel wild pet trade. The UK government MUST improve legislation – please help persuade them to take action. |
|
To us, each animal counts and you’ve helped rescue a dozen leopards in need over the years. So, if someone knocks your spots off, why not gift them a Leopard Family Adoption for Valentine’s Day?! |
|
5,600 students have taken part in our Creative Nature programme, now YOU can join our FREE webinar with artist John Dyer live from Kenya on Thursday 2nd March, hosted by Patron Dan Richardson. |

Star fundraisers need YOU |
Our 26-strong London Marathon Run Wild squad is training hard for April’s world-famous race. They’ve so far raised £5.4k for wild animal care and conservation – can you help them reach their target of £40,000? |

We couldn’t do it without you! Thank you for caring so much. Together, we are invincible and won’t stop until wild animals are safe from exploitation.
