Hey John,

Welcome to 2023! We've packed our lunch boxes and cleaned our uniforms. Next week we're back to school and back in Parliament. We don't know what the year will bring yet but we know with you behind us, we'll continue to get things done.

A quick note - have you seen our new Facebook page? Make sure you click here and 'like' the page to keep up with all the mischief Tammy and Jacqui get up to. It'll also tell you about all the important issues the party is keeping on top of.

Fish & chip lunches have got to go

I'm sick of hearing about fundraisers that buy seats for thousands of dollars in the name of a fish and chips lunch.

We all know this needs to be changed. We need real-time donation disclosure, lower thresholds and aggregate donations.

We disclosed our donations to the public around the time of the election. We were the only political party to do it. The other parties have much bigger teams than we do, so I’m sure they can handle it.

It’s not a surprise that the major parties dodge political donations reform when paper bags continue to pass under the table.

Help us continue the fight for transparency on political donations.

Tassie Travels

I've been lucky enough to spend my January with Jacqui, travelling around Tassie and talking to people on the ground about what’s happening in their world. I’ve been to the Cygnet Folk Festival, St Helens Athletics Carnival, Longford Goat Fest, Devonport Cup, Hobart Twilight Market and attended some beautiful Australia Day citizenship ceremonies.

I’m so grateful to all the Tasmanians who have been so welcoming to me as their new Senator. I can’t believe that I get to have this opportunity to help people in my beautiful home state. Meeting all the wonderful people in our state is hands down one of my favourite parts of the job.

You've seen the stories.

Both major parties received hundreds of millions of dollars in donations last election from big business and corporate donors.

We got a Senator elected on donations from you. You helped us make a difference.

We win big fights on small donations. Let's continue to take the fight to them and keep the majors honest.

The best bits from social media

Big smiles!

Jacqui's been out and about across Tassie lately, talking to people on the ground about what matters to them.

St Helens Carnival

Jacqui and Tammy got down to the St Helens Athletics Carnival recently. They weren't competing!

But Tammy did make some friends sitting on the sidelines.
