You’ve probably seen the headlines about how the House GOP were stalling the economy in an attempt to cut funding for Social Security and Medicare, two essential programs millions of Americans rely on.

Speaker McCarthy has walked back his threats against America’s seniors for now, but we know that’s just talk. Already they have new bills in the works that undermine social services. In the Senate, Rick Scott has legislation to slash funding for our critical social programs including Social Security.

It’s up to us to defend Social Security, Medicare, and other critical programs from the GOP. Sign my petition in the next 48 hours to prove we have a mandate of support for the seniors who need these initiatives.

The simple truth is that America’s seniors are already struggling to make ends meet. So their representatives should not be trying to make their lives harder, but easier.
