Dear John,
This week, Chuck was at the White House with President Trump to celebrate a big trade victory for Iowans.
The U.S.-China trade agreement opens the door for $32 billion worth of sales for U.S. farm exports. This is great news for Iowa farmers and manufacturers.
Later that day, Chuck led the debate on President Trump's trade agreement with Canada and Mexico. In another big win for farmers and workers in Iowa, the Senate approved the USMCA by a huge bipartisan vote.
At the White House, President Trump spoke about how Chuck hasn't missed a vote in the U.S. Senate since 1993. That's when he was back in Iowa surveying historic flood damage. Chuck has maintained his voting streak ever since. In fact, he holds the longest consecutive voting record in Senate history.
The president said, "That's a good record to keep... Because he's a solid, reliable, unbelievable person, and he's a friend of mine, so thank you very much, Chuck."
Solid. Reliable. That's our Chuck.
