Debbie is 100% correct. If we want to end the cycle of crises in our country we need to protect those looking to change the system.

Since being elected to Congress in 2018, she has become the leader on immigration and gun reform in the House fighting for fair, equitable and common-sense policy -- and that has put a target on her back.

I wanted to reach out personally as we approach our end-of-month deadline for July.

You’ve heard from my team a lot this week, but they’re right in saying this has been a big month so far.

Day after day, it seems as if we reach some new level of emergency that chips away at our democracy, and each time, the question of “why” comes up.

We can’t continue down this road of scandals and emergencies. We need to step up and break the cycle that Republicans have placed our government and country in.
