Hey friend — remember SB 260, the monumental climate bill last year that corporate polluters were able to kill by just ONE vote?

Well, the Climate Corporate Data Accountability Act is back! It is our No. 1 priority this legislative session, and with your help we are confident it will pass this time around.

Just 100 companies are responsible for 71% of the world’s total greenhouse gas emissions. Yet, despite their outsized contribution to climate change, corporations are currently not required to publicly report their emissions.

If their emissions remain a mystery, there is no way we can reduce them.

Thankfully, the Climate Corporate Data Accountability Act has just been reintroduced this legislative session with a new title: SB 253. If passed into law, SB 253 would require corporations doing business in California that make over $1 billion annually to report their ENTIRE supply chain emissions

Right now, let California’s Legislature know you are supporting SB 253 by adding your name to our digital petition → [link removed]

Corporate accountability legislation like this should have passed a long time ago, but it’s always fallen just short of getting the support it needs to become law.

We know this year is different. Record flooding, record droughts, and record corporate greed are showing us we need to take action NOW.

Coming out of 2022, where the bill made incredible progress compared to the year before, and with a whole new crop of legislators in the Assembly and State Senate, we know it can pass this legislative session. We just need a little help from you to make sure it pushes through.

Friend, stand with us and demand corporate accountability NOW >>

This will be another long fight that we can only win through early and strong action. We’ll need your help every step of the way.

Thank you for standing with us.
