As you may know, this campaign was unable to raise money for most of April, May and June because of a law prohibiting state officials from accepting contributions while the legislature is in session.

My opponents, however, were under no such restrictions: They spent that whole time raising money, which they can now use to attack me.

That's why this month is so important, friends. To keep up with our opponents, we need to make up for lost time, which is why we've set an ambitious goal of 1,000 individual donations for the month of July.
