Friend,
The future of our state depends on the leadership and vision of those who serve in our communities. It’s never been more important to have local leaders who are committed to advancing the Democratic ideals that we all hold dear.
That's why I am excited to tell you about Project LIFT, an initiative from the Texas Democratic Party that invests in the next generation of Democratic leaders in local, non-partisan races for municipal, school board, and community college trustee offices. Our goal is to build a diverse, representative bench of Democratic leaders who embody our party's values and are committed to making a positive impact in the communities they serve.
Project LIFT-endorsed candidates will receive valuable political, communications, digital, and data support from the Texas Democratic Party, based on need.
To qualify for acceptance into Project LIFT, candidates must be on the ballot on the May 6, 2023 ballot, running for a nonpartisan municipal, school board, or community college trustee office. While these races are non-partisan, the candidate must be a Democrat and have a history of supporting and voting for Democrats.
Friend, are you running for local office this May? Do you know a friend who is interested in serving their community at the local level? Then fill out the Project LIFT application by Friday, March 3, 2023. It only takes 10-15 minutes to complete!
Together, we can build a brighter future for Texas and beyond, from the ground up. I look forward to seeing you on the front lines!
Texas forever,
Ryan Garcia
