Richmond, VA- Leon Benjamin wishes the 4th District a happy Black History Month. Leon said in a statement:
“February marks Black History Month in our nation. Let us celebrate and commemorate the life and achievements of Black Americans. We are united under one blood as humans who need one another through love. Because of this love, our society will be great and prosperous for generations.
We must look back on our history and learn from it. No experience for two Black Americans is the same, and we can learn from each’s story. Lena Waithe once said, “The things that make us different, those are our superpowers.” I invite Black Americans across my district to come to the table and discuss the issues facing our community.
We are one people. One nation, under God.”
