We are thrilled to kick off the series with Leveraging Racial Equity Impact Assessments (REIA) for Change, [[link removed]] brought to you in partnership with the Montgomery County Office of Racial Equity & Social Justice and Office of Legislative Oversight. [[link removed]]
This webinar will focus on Racial Equity Impact Assessments (REIA)—what it is, how it is used, and its outcomes. REIAs help decision-makers critically evaluate data and provide insights into historical and current structural inequities that may produce racialized outcomes and encourage community engagement, transparency, and accountability. By proactively including community input, REIAs mitigate harmful, unintended consequences and promote the use of a racial equity lens before decisions are made, supporting a community's effort to advance racial equity and social justice.
We hope that you join us, and bring a colleague or friend, on Wednesday, February 8, 2023, at 2:00 pm EST to benefit from the following:
Speakers’ insights on what a REIA is, why it is important and how the analysis and assessments are conducted Real-world examples, best practices and different uses of REIAs A Q&A session to ensure success when integrating REIAs into your own work and communities Tangible examples of how to use REIAs as a racial equity tool in policy and program analysis and decision-making This webinar is free, but advanced registration is required—so register today!
