Folks,

February is Black History Month. We celebrate because, for too long the role
of Black Americans in America’s long and painful history has been ignored,
belittled, or distorted. But we cannot forget our history and we cannot forget
the contributions of generations of Black Americans who have significantly
contributed to Black liberation, the foundations of American democracy,
community building, politics, and every aspect of America's cultural identity.

At a time where history and education, particularly relating to Black
Americans, is being rolled back and distorted, it’s more important than ever
that we acknowledge and celebrate Black History Month. Our shared history is
what makes this country special, and we cannot grow as a country if we do not
come together and collectively decide to move forward. We hope that you will
take this month to reflect on the importance of Black History Month, and we
wish you a happy and healthy day.

Best,

Montana Democratic Party

The Montana Democratic Party is the party of the people. We welcome to our
cause Montanans of every color, creed, and condition. Our history as a party
teaches us that by working together and speaking as one, we can move society
forward, especially when we raise our voices for those among us with little
money, influence, or acceptance.
