Your support helped us reach our goal and finish January on track – thank you!

January came and went, let me get you up to speed on 2023 so far:

1️⃣ Launched The Organizing Accelerator program in collaboration with the NAACP (more information on this to come) .

2️⃣ Announced our National and Massachusetts Advisory Boards, bringing even more voices into Groundwork’s strategic planning.

3️⃣ Spotlighted the first round of recipients of our Keep Paying Your Organizer grant!

4️⃣ Boosted the 2nd annual Black Policy Day, organized with our partners in West Virginia! We are a proud sponsor of this event.

February is going to be just as busy – if not more. It’s Black History Month, so we’ll be spotlighting some incredible Black organizers from our focus states here, stay tuned! In addition, Anthony and Trey are traveling to West Virginia to join in Black Policy Day, and we are preparing to re-launch our flagship Organizer Grant Program, as well as getting ready to announce some exciting collaborators for The Organizing Accelerator.

If you think 2023 is an “off year,” you are wrong. Groundwork is securing resources for another year of programming and grant opportunities – chip in right now and support our work: [link removed] The boom-and-bust of election cycle organizing isn’t cutting it. We must get more resources for year-round organizing, especially in the most overlooked regions, if we want to protect our democracy and build a more progressive future for this country.

Groundwork Project

Founded by Joe Kennedy III, Groundwork Project invests in year-round, local community organizing in places Democrats have gotten used to writing off. With a focus on Appalachia, the Deep South, and the Plains, we support local advocates and activists working to build durable political infrastructure and secure power for those historically excluded.
