What's On In February?

In this month's edition:

  • Our two new collections Love Is A Verb and Black History Month take an eloquent page from All About Love by bell hooks where she states, "The word 'love' is most often defined as a noun, yet all the more astute theorists of love acknowledge that we would all love better if we used it as a verb." How do you put love into action? Let us know!

  • Congratulations to Midwives for garnering an Independent Spirit Award nomination for Best Documentary. A gripping portrait of two midwives -- one Buddhist, one Muslim -- in the Rankhine state of Myanmar, Midwives is back on streaming through February 28th.

  • Confronting the histories of disability while defiantly present tense, don't miss Season 35 closer I Didn't See You There before it expires on February 8th. In case you missed it, check out filmmaker Reid Davenport's Q&A with Ramy actor Steve Way!

  • If Producer Opal H. Bennett's shorts highlights in January made you excited, POV Shorts Season 5 returns with more stories about art, freedom of expression, disability, and the power of love on February 13th.

The time to stream is now on pov.org and the PBS app.

After you watch, we'd also love to hear from you! Send us your thoughts, shoutouts, and ideas for future programming at [email protected].
