Folks —
It’s Black History Month, and now more than ever, I’m pushing to make the expanded Child Tax Credit permanent.
When we first passed it as part of the American Rescue Plan, the impact it made was immense. Expanding the Child Tax Credit lifted nearly four million children out of poverty — and cut poverty for Black children by 54%.
In short: Permanently expanding the Child Tax Credit is a critical, generation-defining investment in the futures of Black families. It is one of the most meaningful things we can do to begin to combat the racial income gap and structural inequity that have massively affected Black communities for generations.
If you agree Congress should make the expanded Child Tax Credit permanent, show your support by adding your name to my petition today →
Erasing racial wealth gaps and uplifting the next generation of leaders is by far one of my biggest priorities in Congress — and I’m so grateful to have your support as I keep fighting for an economy that works for everyone.
Thank you,
Michael
