Dear John,

Toxic chemicals are threatening Maine's food, farmland, and drinking water and we need to hear from you.

Will you join us at the State House in Augusta on Friday, January 24, to speak out about why you want state action that will designate toxic PFAS (per- and polyfluoralkyl substances) as a hazardous substance? Passing this legislation will lead to the clean up of PFAS pollution threatening our drinking water, food, and farmland.

WHAT: Public hearing on LD 1923, which will allow the Maine Department of Environmental Protection to designate PFAS (and other emerging threats) as hazardous chemicals—allowing the state to prioritize and fund clean-up of contaminated sites.
