Picture this: mossy rocks dwarfed by towering pine trees. A glistening waterfall roars as it crashes into the river below. If you hike high enough, you can see the treetops stretching for miles. Jefferson National Forest is home to some of the LAST OLD-GROWTH TREES in the Eastern U.S. and more than 50 ENDANGERED SPECIES -- a FRACKED GAS PIPELINE THREATENS IT ALL!

Now imagine those mossy rocks dislodged and the towering trees collapsing to the forest floor. Massive machines dig through the earth, making way for a steel pipe carrying dirty gas through sensitive habitats and over freshwater that people rely on. This is what will happen if we allow the Mountain Valley Pipeline to run through Jefferson National Forest -- and we’re quickly running out of time to stop it! Friend, if just 42 more people from your city take immediate action, we can help PROTECT Jefferson National Forest from fossil fuel destruction! Sign by 11:59pm TONIGHT!

Existing parts of the Mountain Valley Pipeline have already received 300+ CITATIONS for WATER PROTECTION VIOLATIONS! If the MVP is allowed to run through Jefferson National Forest, it clears the way for the project to continue cutting through the homes of low-wealth, Black, and Indigenous people and risks contamination of both community and forest water resources alike!

In order to allow the Mountain Valley Pipeline to proceed, Jefferson National Forest would be stripped of critical protections that help maintain ecosystem health. Without these protections, not only could the Mountain Valley Pipeline DESTROY key parts of the forest, but old-growth trees, soil health, and endangered species would face new dangers! There are just a FEW DAYS LEFT to make your voice heard! Please, Friend, help STOP the Mountain Valley Pipeline from DESTROYING our forests before it’s too late!

Standing with you,
