We’ve just premiered our new explainer video, “Understanding Risk-Limiting Audits”:

We heard from election officials that they want a simple way to explain post-election audits ([link removed]) to voters, and that inspired us to make this video. It’s an engaging 80-second primer that covers the basic concept of a really robust kind of audit called a risk-limiting audit ([link removed]) (RLA).

As more places consider RLA legislation to help strengthen our elections, we want to make sure that everyone can easily understand what RLAs are. This video is publicly available so that anyone can watch and share — including election officials, legislators, and voters!

As we look to 2024, Verified Voting is continuing our efforts to bolster public confidence in elections. Resources like this video will help educate voters on how our elections work.
