The Future of the Media – Young People, Access and Inclusion
NYCI addressed the Joint Committee on Tourism, Culture, Arts, Sport and Media on Wednesday 1st February 2023 to discuss ‘the future business model plans and long-term vision for the media sector with a focus on access and inclusion’.

NYCI is delighted to call for a new NYCI representative to the European Youth Forum (YFJ) to join the current representative. The mandate is 3 years, to give the representative to engage fully in the YFJ and time to consider and apply for future representative opportunities that arise from this representative role. The Connect Safely Programme is available to all working and volunteering in the Irish Youth Sector and is suitable for those working with young people aged 12-18 years. It promotes safer use of digital resources, equipping young people with the skills to safely benefit from being online. It is designed to empower young people to safely participate in their online communities.

Tickets are now on sale for the AsIAm National Autism Conference: "Same Chance: Removing Barriers for Autistic People" on the 4th February 2023 in The Grand Hotel, Malahide. This event marks the return of the annual conference, after the hiatus caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Festival of Youth Orchestras

The Irish Association of Youth Orchestras is delighted to return to the National Concert Hall Dublin for the 27th Festival of Youth Orchestras on Saturday, 11 February 2023! The 2023 Festival will see over 400 young people from across Ireland take to the national stage for two concerts to perform classical works and modern arrangements.

ECO-UNESCO’s Young Environmentalist Awards (YEA) deadline has been extended to 28 February. This is open to any group of young people in the Republic of Ireland & Northern Ireland from 10-18 years old.
