According to a recent poll, over 60% of Wisconsinites support safe, legal abortion access in Wisconsin - without obstruction from elected officials.

And yet, last week two right-wing candidates for Wisconsin Supreme Court – Dan Kelly and Jennifer Dorow – made it exceptionally clear where they stand on abortion rights, and it’s not with us.

Dan Kelly was endorsed by three of the most extreme anti-abortion groups across the state. All three groups believe pregnant people should be legally required to give birth and enforcing an 1849 law that outlaws abortions and threatens doctors and nurses with prosecution and prison if they provide abortion care. They also all endorsed Dan Kelly’s failed 2020 campaign for Wisconsin Supreme Court – an election he lost by an overwhelming amount.

Meanwhile, Jennifer Dorow (who also snagged the endorsement of one of the extreme anti-abortion groups) demonstrated her own extremism on the issue of abortion, saying she supports the same right-wing judicial activism that’s taken away the right to abortion care under the U.S Constitution and is allowing the enforcement of the 1849 criminal abortion ban in Wisconsin.

The bottom line is that both Dan Kelly and Jennifer Dorow endorse the judicial activism and legislative agenda that bans access to abortion care in our state and puts politicians in charge of reproductive care decisions that ought to be made by Wisconsinites and their families.
