we could ask the same thing about Jim Jordan, Matt Gaetz…

Recently, Marjorie Taylor Greene boasted that, if she had planned the January 6th insurrection, it “would’ve been armed” and would have succeeded in overturning the 2020 election.

She spoke at a pro-Putin conference hosted by a white nationalist.

She’s spread bizarre conspiracy theories and misinformation about tragedies like September 11th and Sandy Hook.

And now, Marjorie Taylor Greene sits on the House Homeland Security Committee. Yes, really.

How does someone so extreme even get elected to Congress in the first place – much less get elevated to a position impacting our national security?

The answer is one word: Gerrymandering.

By manipulating maps, Republicans can ensure their candidates win reelection over and over again, no matter how extreme they are. The NDRC is working to end gerrymandering and give power back to voters, where it belongs. Will you donate now to support our efforts?

Slate: [E]xtreme gerrymandering has … put more Republican members of Congress in safe seats, with fewer Democratic constituents to answer to. That left the victors free to test the limits of their extremism. Help stop GOP extremism: Donate now to fight gerrymandering

When politicians like Marjorie Taylor Greene, Jim Jordan, and Matt Gaetz never have to worry about a competitive election, they have free rein to advance extreme policies and play partisan political games. That’s dangerous for our democracy…and it leaves us with two options.

OPTION ONE: We can do nothing.

We can stand idly by while Republicans continue using manipulated maps to elevate extreme politicians to the highest positions of power.

OPTION TWO: We can fight to make gerrymandering history.

By advocating for redistricting reforms and holding map-manipulating politicians accountable, we can make our elections fair and competitive.

Attorney General Eric Holder said, “Unlike Republicans, Democrats don’t need to gerrymander to win.” He’s right! And that’s why we’re taking Option 2.

Here at the NDRC, we’re committed to ending gerrymandering, and we’re getting results! Ahead of the 2022 elections, our work helped secure what The New York Times called “the fairest map in 40 years” for the House of Representatives – but we’re just getting started.

Will you pitch in now to help us keep fighting for fairness?
