When the ultra-conservative majority Supreme Court overturned Roe last summer, leaving abortion rights to the states, grassroots Democrats soared into action, investing in our movement to elect Democrats who will protect abortion rights in state legislatures across the country. And it paid off.

Through the support of this grassroots team, we secured historic victories last November – defending our existing majorities, flipping key chambers, and securing four new Democratic trifectas. We’re already seeing the power of these victories: Just weeks into the legislative session, Minnesota Democrats put their new trifecta to work. Yesterday, Governor Tim Walz signed a bill codifying abortion rights in the state. We’re thrilled.

When Democrats hold power, they act immediately to deliver for their constituents – passing legislation to protect abortion access, voting rights, and so much more.
