Jack, we're short on time, so we're going to be brief:
Kevin McCarthy sold out America to gain the House Speaker's gavel.
This isn't some "principled" stand. These very same House Republicans were delighted to balloon the Federal deficit when it was a Republican President doing the spending. Now they're threatening the very fabric of our Nation because they see a political gain.
But make no mistake. House Republicans are ready and willing to tank our American economy, and Democrats are the only thing standing in their way.
Jack, let's just be honest: if we want to defeat the threat of Republican extremism, it is about winning elections. It is about defeating Republicans up and down the ballot — at the Federal level, at the State level, and at the Local level, too.
But we cannot win the next election unless we invest in that effort TODAY.
