Today’s featured individual is Sister Clara Muhammad, who helped to pioneer and establish the role and identity of the African American Muslim woman. She helped establish the Nation of Islam’s primary and secondary schools on a national scale in the 1950s which was groundbreaking for both the Black and Muslim community.
