I wanted to be the first to tell you about some changes happening at Ruth’s List.
Beginning today, veteran political strategist Christina Diamond will be joining our team as Interim CEO. Lucy Sedgwick will remain in an advisory capacity for a transition period to help onboard Christina in her new role.
The board extends our deepest gratitude to Lucy for all she has done to grow Ruth’s List over the past several years. Lucy has truly been a tireless, inspiring, and dedicated leader. Under her leadership, hundreds of women in Florida explored the possibility of running for elected office, and Ruth’s List emerged as an important voice in Florida Democratic politics. While she will be missed in the day-to-day operations, we are grateful to have her remain as a stalwart supporter.
We are thrilled to welcome Christina as our Interim CEO. Christina has spent the last 15 years working in Florida politics. She is President and Owner of Diamond Strategies, a campaign consulting firm that helps clients engage and attract donors, build statewide strategy and communicate effectively. Her clients include the Florida Alliance, Future Majority and advising candidates up and down the ballot. She has served as Senior Advisor and Finance Director for the Florida Democratic Party and U.S. Senator Bill Nelson’s Senate Campaign. Christina lives in St. Petersburg with her husband and 3 kids.
While bittersweet, this is an exciting transition that comes at a critical time in Florida politics, and the organization is in highly capable hands with Christina taking over at the helm. Our board and staff are committed to a seamless transition that ensures the organization’s longevity and future success.
