John — Helen is working to make Philadelphia the most livable city in America — and the best place to raise a family, afford a home, start a business, and age gracefully into. 

She launched her campaign for Mayor with the strongest message about safety including a state of emergency on gun violence and a real attention to taking illegal guns off the street, providing options and deterrents to those in the path of violence, and support for victims including housing, mental health and family supports.

We received the endorsement of the teachers’ union, representing more than 13,000 educators and staff caring for our children. Helen knows that the strength of Philadelphia’s future lies in the strength of our kids and our schools.

We also just received the endorsement of the Working Families Party, which is a diverse and multiracial coalition of organizations representing America’s working families striving to create economic opportunity for all, not just the privileged few.

This is truly a people-powered movement. Over 1,200 individual donors have contributed what they can since Helen launched her campaign on November 30. We’ve received a contribution from almost every Philly zip code — we truly are a city-wide, grassroots movement for working families and everyday Philadelphians.
