BIG NEWS: The House just passed my bill which would overturn Betsy DeVos on student loan forgiveness and stop the Education Secretary from making it harder for students defrauded by for-profit colleges to receive federal student loan relief.

Time and again, Betsy DeVos has shown that she is willing to side with predatory for-profit schools and leave defrauded students to hold the bag. I say, “enough is enough!”

When you try to make life harder for young students, mostly low-income, minority or veterans who were scammed out of their money like Betsy DeVos has, it’s clear that an ulterior motive is at play. I questioned the Education Secretary about this very topic last month, and she had no justifiable answer.

That’s why the House is taking swift action with my bill. We had hoped that DeVos would do the right thing, but we have to take more drastic measures to stop her from implementing rules that will have tragic consequences for students who were defrauded by schools and now have a mountain of debt and useless degrees.

That’s why I’m asking: Will you donate $18 to help me win this race so I can continue to be a check against dangerous anti-education policies that would harm our students?
