Russia has violated the New START treaty cutting long-range nuclear arms by refusing to allow on-site inspections and rebuffing Washington’s requests to meet to discuss its compliance concerns, the U.S. State Department said in a report sent to Congress on Tuesday, as the WSJ reports. |
Ukraine Pushes for Western Fighter Jets
Ukraine won support Tuesday from Baltic nations and Poland in its quest to obtain Western fighter jets, but there were no signs that larger nations like the U.S. and Britain have changed their stance of refusing to provide warplanes to Kyiv, as the AP reports. |

I’m still going through the new Bob Dylan bootleg series, “Fragments: Time Out of Mind Sessions (1996-1997).” There are surprises at every turn. Typically the best material in these collections are the alternate versions and outtakes, and in this set they deliver. Take this “Version 2” of the “Time Out of Mind” classic “Can’t Wait.” “Version 2” is as otherworldly as the original album cut but it also delivers a bit of the Uptown New Orleans style funk which I love. |
