I’ll cut right to the chase. At midnight, we’re facing our first end-of-month fundraising deadline of the 2024 election. I know you might get tired of hearing about these deadlines, and look, I get it. But these milestones are important. Here’s three reasons why hitting this month’s goal is critical:

1. National Republicans are already running attack ads against vulnerable Senate Democrats. After we defended our Senate majority together last November, Republicans are doing everything they can to return the gavel to Mitch McConnell — and they’re getting a head start by targeting battleground states with negative ads.
    
2. Sabato’s Crystal Ball released their first rankings of the 2024 Senate map — and they don’t look great for Democrats. It’s still early, but the math says it all: Democrats are defending the top 8 most likely seats to flip — and Republicans only need to flip one or two to win control of the Senate.
    
3. Our fundraising isn’t where it needs to be. A dip in support for our work is expected early in the year, especially after a competitive midterm election. But hitting each month’s fundraising target is critical to protecting our Democratic majority as we look ahead to 2024.
