I’m Justine. As part of my work on the Innovation team, I help run the text message program at Pete for America. I know this is an email (not a text message) but the email team let me pop in and say hello during this All in for Pete Weekend.

One important thing you can do to help kick off All in for Pete Weekend is to sign up for our text message program. You can do that by signing up here or by texting PETE to 25859. 

Here’s a secret -- it actually doesn’t matter what you text, really. So you could text "Justine" to 25859. Or you could text your name to 25859. You could even tell me what book you’re reading or where I should eat lunch next time I’m in DC.

I’ve been a part of the team for almost a year and have worked on some really unbelievable projects in my time here. For example, I built our campaign’s first data dashboard. It helped us easily see our progress to 65,000 donations -- one of the first important milestones for the campaign. It wasn’t sophisticated (a story for another time), but it did the job and allowed our team to better run programs to help us reach our goals.

And now I’m working on another pretty great project: our text message program. This program allows us to reach our top supporters quickly when there’s information we need to get to them -- like when Pete is going to be in your area or when we have some photos of Buddy and Truman that you need to see. 

I’m on the data team, so my role with our text message program is focused on making sure we know who we’re texting and that we’re sending the right messages to the right people. So sign up and let me start sending you important campaign updates!
