These four legislators are going to make waves in the Assembly and State Senate
|
Lori Wilson, Tina McKinnor, Corey Jackson, and Lola Smallwood-Cuevas are California’s newest Black lawmakers, and we would like you to get to know them! Representation and diversity are always important, but they are especially critical in seats of power like in our State Legislature. These legislators hail from some of the regions of California that experience the most environmental injustices, and their variety of experiences and perspectives from their work on education, labor rights, homelessness, criminal justice, and of course, the environment, will be incredibly valuable in our state’s lawmaking spaces.
