I write to you from my DC office with a summary of last week's major developments. Here is the latest edition of Ronny's Roundup from the Hill:

Rep. Jackson Appointed to the Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic:

I am honored to accept my appointment to the Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic. Revealing the truth behind the origin of COVID-19 has been a top priority of mine since evidence first suggested that the virus was leaked from a Chinese lab. Democrats spent years refusing to hold the Chinese Communist Party accountable for its role in causing a global pandemic. We can no longer ignore the mounting evidence suggesting the virus was leaked from a lab in Wuhan, China. Together, my colleagues in Congress and I will uncover the truth behind the origins of COVID. I promise you this: Fauci and those responsible for propagating the lies will be held accountable.

Border Press Conference:

Last week, I joined my Republican colleagues in demanding an end to the border crisis. Hundreds of thousands of illegals pour in every month and Biden still refuses to recognize the disaster he’s caused. Our country cannot afford two more years of his reckless incompetence - it’s killing Americans every day. This Congress, we will secure the border and save our country!

Introduction of the FARM Act:

Last week, I introduced the Foreign Adversary Risk Management (FARM) Act designed to protect America’s agricultural industry and supply chain from foreign interference. For decades, foreign investors, especially the Chinese Communist Party, have been buying up American agriculture land and food systems at an alarming rate. According to the most recent data from the U.S. Department of Agriculture, foreign individuals and entities own 37.6 million acres of U.S. agricultural land, which is valued at $67.7 billion. The agricultural industry must be considered when determining national security threats from foreign investments, which is exactly what the FARM Act will do. I am committed to ensuring that we put America first in every deal we make. Read the full bill here.

Letter to Pfizer:

I sent a letter to the CEO of Pfizer demanding answers and transparency in light of recent reports exposing Pfizer for possibly conducting gain-of-function research with the COVID-19 virus. As a newly appointed member of The Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic, I am determined to find out if these reports are true and holding Pfizer accountable for their alleged unethical research methods. Lesser Prairie-Chicken WIN:

We scored a huge victory for Texas farmers last week! Just days after I signed a letter to Secretary Haaland, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service announced that it would delay implementation of its rule to list the lesser prairie-chicken as an endangered species, giving our farmers more time to prepare and be recognized for their conservation efforts. If this rule is implemented, the Texas agricultural community would be devastated, hurting an industry that has already been scrutinized by the Biden administration. I will continue to stand strong against Washington Democrats’ radical agenda, always fighting for the well-being of our country against this power-hungry regime.
