Dear John,

Anti-abortion lawmakers are weaponizing the courts and state legislatures to pass more cruel abortion bans, harm patients, and threaten providers. They haven’t wasted a second – and we won’t either. Physician advocates are working nonstop in this hostile landscape to protect our communities.

While the road ahead will be long and arduous, we continue to fight for patients and celebrate the wins along the way. With that in mind, I want to highlight some positive news for you from earlier this month. After years-long advocacy efforts, the FDA announced abortion pills could be dispensed at pharmacies. Many doctors in our network spoke out in support of this effort, including PRH Fellow, Dr. Gopika Krishna, who talked to SELF about why this is an important step to expanding access to medication abortion care in the US.
