John,
I want to take a moment to think about just how far we’ve come, and just
how powerful our progressive movement is — a movement that wouldn’t exist
without people like you.

When I ran for Congress six years ago, I was one of just four members of
Congress who refused corporate PAC money. Today, over 70 members reject
corporate PAC donations.
More than a decade ago, fast food workers courageously launched the Fight
for $15 — two years later, Seattle became the first major city in the
country to pass a $15 minimum wage. Today, it is a mainstream Democratic
position and even Republican-held states are passing ballot initiatives
for a $15 minimum wage.
Nine years ago, when economist Thomas Piketty advocated for a wealth tax,
few thought it was possible. Now we’ve finally passed a minimum corporate
tax and we’re getting ever closer to passing a wealth tax here state-side
and federally.
Five years ago, the idea of canceling student debt was seen as radical and
impossible. Now, the President of the United States has canceled some or
all student debt for 33 million people and identified it as a step toward
racial justice.
That’s how I know our movement’s work matters and our bold, progressive
ideas are winning.
[ [link removed] ]I couldn’t do any of this without you, and it’s my job to make sure our
movement continues to grow and push our country forward. Can I count on
your support?

This is our movement for justice. You are our movement for justice. And as
difficult as these times are, I promise you our strength emerges in times
of crisis. These are the moments that offer the possibility of enormous
transformation. Now is the time for all of us to recommit to who we are
and what we stand for.
And with insurrectionists serving in Congress and the Big Lie still being
pushed by extreme MAGA Republicans — endangering our very democracy — it’s
up to us to fight for what’s right and never surrender. The stakes are too
high to disengage or be cynical or hopeless.
Every time the odds are stacked against us, we rise up, we work hard, we
organize, and we deliver. That’s what our progressive movement is all
about. We don’t just dream of a more just, equal America, we deliver it.
[ [link removed] ]If you have anything to contribute today, I ask that you chip in and
help us stay strong this term. While I fight for you every day — will you
support our campaign?
Thank you for everything you do for our movement, and for all that we will
do together in the future.
In solidarity,
Pramila
