You sent me to Washington to take on the billionaire CEOs and stand up for the people — especially marginalized and poor communities like the one I’m from.
Lately, I've been thinking a lot about my responsibility to leave Congress better than I found it. To make sure that just because I’m the first Black woman to represent Pennsylvania in Congress, I don't remain the only one.
For however long I have the privilege of serving PA-12, I want to work to push forward our vision for racial, environmental, and economic justice — and make Congress a better place for the next group of organizers and activists to serve here. That's where you come in, John.
My team has set a goal to raise $18,000 by tonight's end-of-month deadline to power our fight for progressive change in Congress, and we'll need the support of as many people as possible. But according to our records, it looks like you have yet to contribute to this people-powered movement.

I believe in running a campaign by and for the people. That means rejecting even a cent of corporate PAC money because I never want to be beholden to special interests — only everyday people who make up our communities.
No matter what Kevin McCarthy and Republicans throw our way, I promise to continue fighting for Black, brown, and other marginalized folks, for labor rights, for climate action, for Medicare for All, and more in Congress. I'm working to bring these issues to the forefront of our agenda every day, but I need your support.
