Breaking Records (Again)

Governor Eric Holcomb knows a thing or two about breaking records. And this week, he broke another – closing out 2019 with more campaign cash in the bank ($7.25 million) than any other governor going into their reelection year in Indiana history!

When you add that number to the end-of-year totals for your Indiana Republican Party ($1.04 million) and Lt. Governor Suzanne Crouch ($316,570), we broke another record for this point in the election cycle with $8.61 million combined cash on hand.

What does this mean? It means Hoosiers are liking what they see from our Holcomb-Crouch team. They like the results they’re delivering Hoosiers – balanced budgets, a fully-funded infrastructure plan (with our infrastructure ranked #1 in the nation!), 4% wage growth, record numbers of high-wage Hoosier job commitments, military pensions exempt from state income tax, drug overdose deaths down nearly 13%, and so much more.

And it also means we’re well-positioned to drive turnout and elect Republicans up and down the ballot this year. It’s going to be a record breaking year, and we’re thankful that you’re here to be a part of it.

A State of the State to Remember!

This week, Governor Holcomb took to the airwaves across Indiana to deliver his fourth State of the State address. He described extensive progress on some of Indiana’s greatest challenges, while also detailing bold ideas on what’s next for Indiana.

Just as you might imagine, this speech was all focused around Putting People First – including our kids, teachers, veterans, patients, workers and offenders returning to society. Big news from the speech focused on:
* Fiat-Chrysler’s production of a new engine in Kokomo ([link removed][UNIQID])
* The creation of a new Adoption Unit at the Department of Child Services
* More than 10,000 Hoosiers completing a credential ([link removed][UNIQID]) for a high-wage, high-demand job through Next Level Jobs
* Governor Holcomb’s recommendation that the General Assembly directs an additional $250 million from the surplus and put it toward teacher retirement funds in the next budget, generating $50 million/year to teacher pay!

In case you missed it, you can still check out the full speech here ([link removed][UNIQID]) (and share it with your friends, family and neighbors)!

100 Years: Anniversary of the 19^th Amendment Ratification!

This week’s State of the State address and financial filings aren’t the only things that will make this week go down in Hoosier history.

Yesterday was the 100^th anniversary of Indiana’s ratification of the 19^th amendment to the U.S. Constitution, which gives women the right to vote. There was a big celebration at the Statehouse, with the festivities continuing throughout the year across Indiana.

Your Indiana Republican Party is proud of our female elected officials throughout Indiana – including most of your statewide elected officials!
