2022 WRAP-UP
NATIONAL MEMBER COUNCIL
The Superscope: 8 members, 2 staff, 1 board
The Subscopes: 18+ members representing at-large members and over 13 chapters

2022 goals:

Use the NMC to facilitate improved relationships between staff, members and board
Give members a bigger share of decision making power at the national level
Support members in common challenges
Host events for members and publicize the NMC

What did we do?

Advise in the Strategic Planning Process and participate in first-ever joint board, staff, and NMC gathering
Elect a member to sit on the board of RG and members to join the RG organizing team
Set up a member feedback form
Create a fund for cross-chapter RG member-led projects
Provide input on a variety of national projects such as student organizing, media opportunities, chapter agreements, national campaigns, and code of conduct.
Make important connections between chapters, members, resources, and other membership bodies, including hosting skillshares and meet and greets

Looking ahead to 2023:

Continue representing member concerns at RG National
Increase transparency by developing more ways for reporting back to members
Host and/or facilitate member networking events, skillshares, and workshops
Review the RG member shared resources google drive
Find ways to increase/streamline the flow of resources between member formations
Advocate for the development of further (specific) resources
Support capacity building in chapters
Recruit 3rd cohort of NMC reps
Advise on media opportunities, campaigns, and other national projects
