The first month of 2023 has already been a busy one. First, we celebrated President Biden’s renomination of Gigi Sohn to fill the fifth tie-breaking seat at the FCC and got right back to work pressing the Senate to confirm her after nearly 15 months of delays. Then we kicked into rapid-response mode after Meta invited Donald Trump back to Facebook and Instagram, a reckless decision that reinforces the importance of our fight against online hate and disinformation.
We have our work cut out for us. But as of this morning, we’re still running 26% behind on reaching our January goal. Can we count on you to help us reach the 100 individual contributions we need before midnight tonight to stay on track?
Thank you!

Friend,
Free Press Action doesn't take a cent from business, government or political parties — our independence is too important.
That's why I’m reaching out directly to people like you to ask for your support before the end of the month.
Here’s a little background: Each month, we set a target for how much we need to raise to power our critical work. Hitting this target in January will help fund our campaign pushing the Senate to confirm Gigi Sohn to fill the fifth tie-breaking seat at the FCC. Meeting this goal will also help us continue to fight disinformation on social media, especially as Meta welcomes Donald Trump back to Facebook and Instagram.
I did the math and we need at least 100 more contributions this month to stay on track. So can we count on you? Every dollar you give makes a difference — make your very first gift to Free Press Action before tomorrow at midnight.
As the development director for Free Press, my primary responsibility is to secure the resources needed to sustain and grow the organization — and that includes donations from people like you.
But this work is personal. I believe strongly in our fight for your rights to connect and communicate, which is why I’m proud to call myself a donor.
There’s already so much at stake in 2023, and we can’t be caught unprepared. Make one of the 100 contributions Free Press Action needs to hit our January goal before midnight tomorrow.
Thank you so much for your support,
Brenda and the rest of the Free Press Action team
