We invited three trans young people — and their families and loved ones — to share their stories of growth, and talk about the transformations they’ve seen the people around them go through in our documentary short film, Learn With Love.

According to The Trevor Project’s 2022 National Survey on LGBTQ Youth Mental Health, more than half of transgender and nonbinary youth considered suicide in the past year and nearly 1 in 5 attempted suicide. We hope this documentary’s release cultivates awareness and acceptance among the public, showing LGBTQ young people that their stories matter and ultimately progresses our goal to end suicide among LGBTQ young people. Every single person is capable of change, and every single person deserves love. For transgender and nonbinary young people who face unfair barriers, discrimination, and disinformation, it is more important than ever to be received with open arms and an open mind — to be approached with compassion, humility, and love.
