Winter in Connecticut is beautiful. There’s nothing like taking walks through crunchy snow-dusted leaves, ice skating on a frozen lake or river, watching the sunset through snow-covered trees, or drinking hot chocolate by a roaring fire.

But one of the best things about living in Southwestern Connecticut is being able get outside and collect dinner at the same time.

Every time I take in the stunning views of Connecticut’s coast, I’m reminded of what a privilege it is to represent a district that is home to some of the best oysters in the nation. It’s impossible not to pull on my boots and get my hands dirty.

Seeing the beauty of our community in winter reminds me why I love fighting for our state in Congress.

The people of Connecticut are unique, diverse, and deserve nothing less than a representative who will fight for them. It’s an honor to go to work every day and bring home results for our community.
