Dear John,
I keep a personal practice of never holding myself to New Year’s Resolutions until at least after MLK day. Why set myself up for failure in the immediate aftermath of a hectic holiday season? The extra two to three weeks’ grace period helps ease into intention-setting for the new year. And any extra time needed to get in gear is given due grace!
Plus, as an Iranian-American, I give myself a bonus resolutions-reset on Nowruz, or what’s sometimes known as Persian New Year on the vernal equinox. So that’s all to say: you can make resolutions at the end of January, too! And revisit or revive them in a few months if that feels right 😉
So with that, here’s Reproaction’s 2023 Fake Clinic Fighting resolutions:
· Counter anti-abortion shame, stigma, and indignity with affirmation, support, and love
· Defund fake clinics at the state and local level, and beyond
· Call out donors to fake clinics and organizations that bolster them
· Spread the truth about the unproven, unethical “abortion pill reversal” regimen
· Discredit anti-abortion fake clinics at every turn
Do you have fake clinic fighting resolutions? Let us know on Twitter how you plan to fight #BadFaithMedicine by tagging us @reproaction and using the #BadFaithMedicine hashtag.
Bonus action:
CVS, Rite Aid, and Walgreens also made a resolution: stocking abortion pills in stores! [1] Accessing medication abortion at your local pharmacy could be a game-changer for so many communities. Are you jazzed about abortion pills being offered at a store near you?
Sign this petition to let pharmacy service providers know that You Want Abortion Pills in Pharmacies!
Onward,
Shireen Shakouri
Deputy Director, Reproaction
P.S. We would be thrilled if you could support our cutting-edge work now.
