Vice President Kamala Harris: Republicans in Congress are now calling for a nationwide abortion ban…The right of every woman in every state in this country to make decisions about her own body is on the line. And I've said it before, and I'll say it again: How dare they!

Sen. Catherine Cortez Masto (NV): This isn't over. There's a minority of extreme individuals in this country who don't support…[the] right to choose. And we have to continue this fight. Because they're gonna take it as far as they can take it. And we have to be the backstop. Rep. Nikema Williams (GA-05): [W]e cannot forget that Republicans' destruction of reproductive freedom is an attack on racial justice. The data is horrifying: a national ban on abortion could increase maternal deaths of Black women by 39%. Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (NY): I do not think that 50% of America should be told that they have to put their bodies at risk of life or death without their consent. It is barbaric. It is inhumane. It is unacceptable…When you take away a woman's right to make her decisions about her health and wellbeing, she is no longer a full citizen.
