I've represented my community in Congress for nearly 25 years, John – but my fight for a better future didn't start there.
From working with the local NAACP to desegregate my cheerleading squad at San Fernando High School to being the only member of Congress to vote against the Afghanistan war, I've never stopped fighting for what's right.
And today, I'm taking on another serious challenge: I'm strongly considering a run for U.S. Senate – where currently no Black women are serving.
That's why my team and I set an ambitious goal to raise $25,000 before our crucial end-of-month deadline – but with just one day left to hit this goal, we're falling dangerously short.
So please, I'm asking for your help to meet our critical goal before it's too late: Will you give $5 or more right now to build up the resources we need to launch this campaign and create a better future for all of us?

The challenges our country is facing – from economic injustice to attacks on our reproductive freedom – require bold, progressive solutions. I'm ready to deliver for all people, but I need your help.
The San Francisco Chronicle recently reported that I have a serious fundraising deficit compared to others who are running or considering a run for California's Senate seat.
If I'm going to launch this campaign, I need to close this fundraising gap ASAP – but there isn't much time before the first major deadline of the year, and we're on track to fall short of our critical goal.
So please, John, if you're with me, will you chip in $5 or more right now – everything you can spare before the end-of-month deadline – to join Team Barbara Lee and help me build a progressive future for us all?

I can't do this without you, so thank you for your support.
– Barbara Lee
