John,
On the campaign trail, I talked a lot about my background, my education, and the perspective that I have as a doctor. Now, I am the first doctor to serve in the Pennsylvania House in nearly 60 years.
Last week, I co-sponsored legislation to create the Pennsylvania Medical Debt Repayment Program - a program that will allow us to eliminate over $100 in medical debt for every dollar we invest in Pennsylvanians.
As a physician, I have seen firsthand how problems with our nation’s healthcare system – including medical debt – have hurt families and prevented people from getting the care they need.
While there are many issues that we need to address, including the systemic problems that lead to spiraling medical debt, this bill is an important first step toward helping people across Pennsylvania get the assistance and the care they need – and not phone calls from collection agencies.
This is what happens when you elect a doctor - Can you chip in $25, $50, or even $100 today to help me meet my end of month goal and continue to help people who need it most?
