In case you missed it, Wes was on MSNBC’s Morning Joe this morning for the first time as Governor of Maryland.
As the only Black governor in the country right now, Wes responded to the horrific video of Memphis police killing Tyre Nichols, and called for several measures to create better trust between communities and law enforcement.
Wes also talked about President Biden’s visit to Baltimore today to kick off the new rail tunnel project being funded by the infrastructure bill signed into law last year. It’s a historic investment in Maryland’s mass transit that will create 30,000 jobs and increase rail speed and reliability.
