We’re facing a rise in white supremacy and violent domestic extremism here in Washington and across the country. Washington State ranks fifth in the nation for white supremacist incidents. My office is addressing this issue and developing a strategy that is getting national attention as “a model for the nation.”

My team and I recommended — and there is now proposed legislation — forming a commission solely focused on this issue to actively address the rise in these hateful acts here in Washington State.
