Hey John – we know the reason you got off the sidelines and worked to elect Gov. Josh Shapiro and Lt. Gov. Austin Davis was because you believed in them to make progress on behalf of Pennsylvanians.

So we wanted to send you a brief note to let you know that the Shapiro-Davis Administration has very much hit the ground running. Here are a few of the immediate actions Gov. Shapiro and his team have taken in the two weeks since the Inauguration:

- Signed an Executive Order announcing that 92% of state government jobs in Pennsylvania are open to folks regardless of whether they have a degree.

- Signed an ethics package to prevent improper influence on their administration.

- Established the Office of Transformation and Opportunity to reignite Pennsylvania’s economy — and help our businesses and our workers thrive. 

These are big steps forward, John. But we also know there is a lot more to do.

We have to make sure every kid has access to a great education.

We have to tackle gun violence and make our communities safer.

We have to build an economy that lifts everyone up.

There’s a lot of work ahead, John, but here in Pennsylvania, under Governor Shapiro’s leadership, we’re going to continue to stand up for what’s right, bring people together, and get real things done.
